3) My personal experiences

Personally for me, my Support Group consists of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, my church friends and my family.

Family and loved ones support is very crucial to someone managing a mood disorder. I thank God for the difference He has made in my life. He is my comfort and my strength daily. Every morning when I wake up, I will pray and read the Bible. The Bible is God's Words to me and all of His people. From the Bible, God speaks Words of comfort to me and help me to cope with the many challenges in my life.

I thank God that I belong to a Church where there are brothers and sisters in Christ and friends who accept me and help me to grow despite the ups and downs of depression and bipolar disorder. Through their love and support, I have come a long way in learning to manage my condition. It has been more than 3 years that I last had a relapse of clinical depression and I am thankful to God for His many mercies in preserving me daily.

I am learning to pace myself and so I hardly have time now to blog, to post and visit blogs. But, you are in my thoughts and prayers, dear blogging friends and readers. Do feel free to drop by and read the posts here if they are helpful to you.

Warm Regards,

Different kinds of depression treatments exist; there are prescribed medications, like anti-depressants, natural substances such as herbs that play an important role in controlling depression. Talk therapy has proven to be effective in addressing the disease. Participation in a depression support group will help you combat depression issues.

Hi Rodney,

Thanks for stopping by.

Yes, it's a mercy, that there are various helps available now for depression. It is a highly treatable condition.

Sadly, due to the stigma and great misunderstandings, many people are suffering in silence.

Hope more people will come forward to seek help and be able to live a productive life.

Have a nice weekend!

Warm regards,
