Psalm 130 sang acappella - Scottish Metrical Psalter 1650

Dear friends and readers,

Thanks for stopping by.

How time flies! It's been 3 years since I last posted. So much have happened during the last 3 years. I shall share more next time.

Today I listened to this Psalm which has always encouraged me whenever my mood dipped or I undergo clinical depression. With a mood disorder such as Bipolar Disorder, I can never know when my mood will swing, no matter how best I tried to take care and pace myself.

This Psalm reminds me that I can call upon the Lord Jesus Christ in my down time and find comforts in Him as I focus on His great work of Redemption.

I created this video on Youtube using Psalm sang aCapella from Reformed Presbyterian Church of Ireland and sung by the Northern Presbytery Choir that is available on public domain. They sang beautifully. This Psalm 130 is from Scottish Metrical Psalter 1650, sang to the tune "The Bays of Harris".
Scottish Metrical Psalm 130 Tune: The Bays of Harris

1 Lord, from the depths to thee I cry'd. 2 My voice, Lord, do thou hear: Unto my supplication's voice give an attentive ear. 3 Lord, who shall stand, if thou, O Lord, should'st mark iniquity? 4 But yet with thee forgiveness is, that fear'd thou mayest be. 5 I wait for God, my soul doth wait, my hope is in his word. 6 More than they that for morning watch, my soul waits for the Lord; I say, more than they that do watch the morning light to see. 7 Let Israel hope in the Lord, for with him mercies be; And plenteous redemption is ever found with him. 8 And from all his iniquities he Isr'el shall redeem.

This is produced by Reformed Presbyterian Church of Ireland and sung by the Northern Presbytery Choir. Very lovely Psalms singing. Can purchase the full set of 5 CDs from : Crown & Covenant Or buy the .mp3 versions from: Still Waters Revival Books

Hope everyone have a blessed weekend ahead!

Warm Regards,
